Latin name: Scallop: Chlamys nobilis
Moon scallop:  Amusium pleuronectes
Scallop live in sea waters from the sublittoral line to the 200m water depth. The substratum is sand and gravel. Scallop used to use its byssal threads to attach to gravels or the shells of other individuals. 
Scallop mostly live in the central of Vietnam, especially in Binh Thuan province.
Season: from August to March
Catching method: Hand-caught by divers
