Latin name: Letes calcarifer

A diadromous fish, inhabiting rivers before returning to the estuaries to spawn. Found in coastal waters, estuaries and lagoons, in clear to turbid water. Feeds on fishes and crustaceans.

Season: whole year round

Fishing gears: hook and line, bottom trawl and sea-culture

Distribution area: wild catching from The Gulf of Tonkin, Central region, Southern water and aquaculture.
